Lithium Ion Polymer (LiPo) packs are successors to the known Lithium Ion (LiIon) packets. The main advantage of LiPo batteries is undoubtedly the capacity-to-size ratio. They are very small in size while maintaining a very high current efficiency, which allows you to choose the right package for virtually every AEG replica. They have no memory effect. They can be loaded very often without discharging them first. Frequent charging is beneficial for this type of battery.

Remember not to discharge the LiPo pack below 3V per cell and not to overcharge over 4.2V per cell. Another advantage of LiPo packets is the low percentage of self-discharge. Monthly unused package loses about 3-5% of energy. It is necessary to take care of the package, because during very long storage, discharge below the permissible minimum value (3V per cell) and irreversible chemical reactions may occur, which may cause deterioration of the package properties, including its permanent damage, in extreme cases - ignition. An unused LiPo pack should be charged approximately 70% on average.

When properly used, the lifetime of LiPo packs is on average 500-700 cycles. An important aspect is the temperature at which LiPo packets can work. Unlike other batteries, LiPo cells can cope well in low temperatures. Instead, they should be charged at room temperature. In order to maintain the good condition of LiPo batteries, you should balance them while charging with the service plug, which has most LiPo packets (a good LiPo charger has a built-in balancer).
